Spring Cleanup is a yearly service provided to City residents to help keep their property and neighborhoods free from accumulated trash, junk and rubbish.
When: Spring Cleanup is provided to residents once per year at a site designated by the City. This year’s Spring Cleanup will be held on Saturday May 6, 2017, from 7am to 3pm, just west of Lincoln Airport off Airport Road. See event details.
– PVC pipes
– Lumber (treated or untreated)
– Miscellaneous rubbish
– Electronic devices (computers and laptops, computer components, televisions, cell phones)
Note: Lumber and PVC pipes cannot exceed four inches in diameter and five feet in length. Residents are limited to two (2) car, van, or pickup truck loads. NO TRAILERS OR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES ALLOWED.
Items Not Accepted:
– Refrigerated appliances
– Commercial waste
– Tree stumps
– Combustible materials
– Toxic materials and heavy materials such as auto bodies
Amount: Piles cannot be larger than 8’ x 4’ x 4’. This is equal to two cubic yards of material, which is about the size of a pickup truck bed.
Notification: Residents will receive a Spring Cleanup Service flyer with their utility bill approximately one month prior to the date of the event with directions to the site.
